Nolimit City Grows Lithuanian Presence with TOPsport Partnership

Malta-based online casino software provider Nolimit City has further cemented its presence in the Lithuanian iGaming market via a recent partnership with locally licensed operator TOPsport.lt.

As part of this newly signed deal, Nolimit City has provided the online gaming and sports betting operation with access to its games range.

Nolimit City offers high-quality online casino content and related services to its operator partners around the globe. The studio, which has offices in Malta, Sweden, and India, has built its proprietary platform from scratch to present its clients with a powerful engine that can easily accommodate large volumes of play and social interaction across both desktop and mobile.

The platform further comes with a back office and a bonus toolbox. Its offering is flexible and can be tailored to the individual needs and requirements of every operator that chooses to use it.

Originally launched in 2002, TOPsport is Lithuania’s oldest gambling company. It started as a land-based sports betting operator, but now also offers Internet wagering and casino services. It is the largest provider of gambling services in its home country.

It should also be noted that TOPsport is the fourth Lithuania-facing operator that Nolimit City is providing its content to as it looks to grow its regulated footprint across key markets.

A Natural Step

As part of the partnership, TOPsport has gained access to popular Nolimit City titles such as Deadwood, San Quentin xWays, and Fire in the Hole xBomb, among others. These are now available to the operator’s online players.

The partnership with the Malta-based studio is part of TOPsport’s effort to further establish itself in the Lithuanian gambling space by strengthening its online arm.

As for Nolimit City, it is looking to bolster its regulated presence, while also gearing up preparations to launch a further slew of exciting gaming titles in the coming weeks and months. The company said this week that its positioning itself in “a key area such as Lithuania” proves that the Baltic nation “is one of value” to it.

Nolimit City has been offering its products in Latvia and Estonia for some time now and pointed out that moving into their neighbor Lithuania was “a natural step.”

Commenting on their partnership with TOPsport, Nolimit City CCO and MD Malcolm Mizzi said that the operator is one of those names that resonate and that they are proud to strengthen their Lithuanian presence with strong partners and see their games live on “yet another key Lithuanian casino lobby.”

TOPsport General Manager Gintaras Staniulis said that they are “very pleased” to form a partnership with Nolimit City and that adding the studio’s games helps them please their loyal clients and allows them to “stay on the top in terms of quantity and quality of casino games in Lithuania.”

Under the platform-to-platform agreement recently inked between OneTouch and Relax, the former will integrate its suite of games and these will gain access to the latter’s host of leading online gambling operators.

It now offers online slots, table games, and live casino products.

Hedge Funds Hit Out at William Hill Failure to Disclose Full Caesars Takeover Terms

Two hedge funds have slammed William Hill’s board for failing to disclose “potentially material” information about the British bookmaker’s takeover by US casino giant Caesars.

The two hedge funds are also understood to be calling for William Hill shareholders to have a second vote on the £2.9 billion deal that is expected to close in early April.

Ahead of a Wednesday court hearing that is set to approve the transaction, GWM Asset Management and HBK Capital Management have penned separate letters to the bookmaker’s board, arguing that they were not presented with enough information to greenlight the takeover at the November shareholder vote.

In GWM’s letter, which was obtained by the Financial Times, the hedge fund said that William Hill’s board had failed to disclose “potentially material” information about Caesars being able to terminate its joint venture with the British gambling company in the US if another party expressed interest in buying William Hill.

The UK operator formed a sports betting joint venture with former Eldorado Resorts in the summer of 2018 in the wake of a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court that paved the way for the legalization of wagering across the nation. The partnership remained valid after Eldorado acquired Caesars last summer in a reverse takeover.

Insufficient Information about Caesars’ List of Restricted Acquirers

When Caesars tabled its offer for William Hill in September 2020, the casino operator said that it could exercise its right to terminate its joint venture with the bookmaker should it accept a rival bid from a list of “restricted acquirers” that Caesars could decide.

In its recent letter to the bookmaker’s board, HBK, which holds a 10% stake in it, said that the market was wrongfully led to believe that “no rival bid for William Hill would ever be possible.”

HBK went on to say that William Hill failed to disclose until the day of the November shareholder vote that Caesars could only add six names to that list and that it could substitute just one of those potential bidders every six months.

GWM, which owns a 1% stake in William Hill, said in its letter that it intended to contest the transaction because it was “contrary to the spirit of the UK takeover code.” The hedge fund further noted that it may have voted in a different manner back in November and that the terms of the deal with Caesars prevented a possible action for the British bookmaker that could have resulted in it being sold at a higher price.

It is understood that other shareholders have also voiced concerns about the deal to the UK operator’s board and that none of them voted at the November shareholder meeting.

Caesars offer values William Hill at 272p per share. However, gambling stocks have risen significantly since the deal was first agreed due to the rapid expansion of the US sports betting market and the online gambling uptick that widespread lockdowns have prompted.

Premier League preview – Gameweek #26

There are top sides clashing, basement battlers going head-to-head and as usual, every possibility for some serious sportsbetting action in the English Premier League, one of the most popular sporting divisions in the world to bet on.

premier-league-preview-gameweek-12_v3-min

Let’s pick out some winners and provide you with a tip for each game as a full schedule takes place up and down the country.

Leeds United vs. Aston Villa (Saturday, 5.30pm GMT kick-off)

This clash between two teams who were embroiled in one of the most controversial games in football will be very interesting now that it’s in the Premier League.

If you’ve forgotten, Leeds and Villa played out a sensational match a couple of years ago in the Championship as Leeds scored by illegitimate means then were supposed to be letting Aston Villa score in response until Pontus Janssen didn’t read the memo.

Both sides are in decent form in general in the Premier League having returned in consecutive years. Aston Villa stayed up by the skin of their teeth in the 2019/20 season, but have kicked on under Dean Smith and in Grealish, Watkins and Traore, have some of the most dangerous attacking players in the Premier League.

Leeds, meanwhile, look set to survive in their first season back in the big time and with some room to spare, currently well clear of the relegation zone and looking more towards mid-table and possible European qualification along with their hosts on Saturday evening.

As such, there should be plenty of licence for both sides to attack each other and we can see there being some great entertainment on offer at Elland Road.

We like Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison to get in amongst the goals in a win for The Whites and that’s at a very tasty price given Jack Grealish is likely to be out for six weeks and the Villains are also missing Matty Cash, who would have been man-marking Harrison if fit. In fact, this is our bet of the week.

Our tip: Jack Harrison to score and Leeds to win (4/1)

Chelsea vs. Manchester United (Sunday, 4.30pm GMT kick-off)

Last season, in the corresponding fixture, Chelsea twice had goals correctly ruled out for a foul and then offside as Frank Lampard’s team were unable to prevent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United team doing the league double over them.

This season, the two teams have only met once in competition, with a drab 0-0 draw at an empty Old Trafford all that has taken place to date between the two great rivals of the Premier League era.

With it being Thomas Tuchel’s first taste of the bizarrely feisty fixture – before the turn of the Millennium, there was little to suggest this would develop into any kind of fierce rivalry – this is sure to be a decent game.

Tuchel’s Chelsea have a new-found belief and that has been married with a strong defence in recent games. The issue has been goals, with a distinct lack of them so far, although that might change at the weekend. United have looked good going forward this season – no team has scored more than the Red Devils in domestic fixtures – but at the back they look almost inept at times. Newcastle opened them up on several occasions and while Chelsea aren’t the league’s great entertainers, we can see them causing United a deal of problems. For that reason, we’d go with the over 3.5 goals price.

Our tip: Over 3.5 goals (23/10)

English Premier League Gameweek #26 Fixtures:

Saturday 27th February

Manchester City vs. West Ham United (12.30pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Manchester City to win and both teams to score (19/10)

West Bromwich Albion vs. Brighton & Hove Albion (3pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: West Brom to win (17/5)

Leeds United vs. Aston Villa (5.30pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Jack Harrison to score and Leeds to win (4/1)

Newcastle United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers (8pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Both teams to score and draw (4/1)

Sunday 28th February

Crystal Palace vs. Fulham (12 noon GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Ademola Lookman to score at any time (3/1)

Leicester City vs. Arsenal (12 noon GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Jamie Vardy to score at any time (11/8)

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Burnley (2pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Tottenham Hotspur to win by 1 goal (5/2)

Chelsea vs. Manchester United (4.30pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Over 3.5 goals (23/10)

Sheffield United vs. Liverpool (7.15pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Both teams to score (19/20)

Monday 1st March

Everton vs. Southampton (8pm GMT kick-off)

Our tip: Abdoulaye Doucore to score at any time (8/1)
