Stakelogic Takes Runner Runner Roulette 5000x Live to the Rest of the World

stakelogic_takes_runner_runner_roulette_5000x_live_to_the_rest_of_the_worldAfter announcing an exclusive engagement for its new game in late November of last year, Stakelogic Live is now making Runner Runner Roulette 5000x available to operators network-wide. The game was first released solely at Unibet.nl

Live dealer gaming is reported to be extremely popular in the Netherlands so it simply made sense to offer Dutch players a first crack at the game which plays mostly like standard European roulette but also has some exciting additional features to make it fun for everyone.

Now licensed operators in all regulated markets can offer the game along with other in-person streaming and hosted games from the provider’s live studio in the Netherlands. The game currently is not streamed from Stakelogic Live’s state-of-the-art studio in Birkirkara, Malta. The company provides an entire suite of live games including blackjack streamed from dedicated studios. The company’s RNG games have been licensed in Malta since 2016.

Fast-Paced Game with 5,000x Potential Multiplier on Wins

Gameplay is fast-paced and the potential to pick up a 5000x multiplier on top of the game’s own odds sets it apart from most other casino floor games while the atmosphere and actual bonus mechanics set one foot solidly in the gameshow gambling genre.

The game is built around TCX Huxley’sSaturn Auto Roulette wheel, the world’s first and only compact, tabletop, automated roulette wheel.

Behind the wheel, players will see random roulette numbers (1-36 and 0 but not 00) showcased with every spin. The quantity of numbers that can appear varies from 1 to 5 but at least one roulette number is always featured. If the winning number on the wheel matches any of the showcased numbers on the display the player will get winnings multiplied by a factor of 50x to 500x or they will enter a special bonus round where things simply get crazy for big win potential.

In the special bonus round, players will see a 10×10 grid of symbols cloned from the Stakelogic slot games Runner Runner. It’s a classic fruit slot at its core so the symbols on the board include Bars, Melons, Strawberries, 7s, stars, etc. Random multipliers from 50x up to 5,000x this time appear as well and are hidden behind the 100 symbols which are shuffled up madly on the screen.

With their table win “in hand”, the player now selects any one of the symbols and is awarded the multiplier that it conceals.

It’s a sight to see with all the showbiz glitz and glamor adding to the excitement and there is no other studio backdrop like it on the market at this point. Banks of lights warm the cockles and the dealer dressing in a gold suit jacket and sometimes sporting a bowtie really set the mood.

Around the Clock with Bets as Low as€0.20

The game is designed to offer everyone in regulated markets a chance to play, with a minimum bet of just €0.20. New rounds are pounded out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the dedicated Dutch studio.

Head of Live Casino at Stakelogic Live, Richard Walker said: “The gameshow format is one of the most popular in the Netherlands and beyond, and in Runner Runner Roulette 5000X we have a game that is packed full of glitz, glamour, and plenty of big win potential.

It has performed incredibly well with Unibet, and we can’t wait to see it land in the live game lobbies of other operators, especially in the Dutch market taking full use of our Native content. The player experience is thrilling as it is entertaining, allowing operators to engage new and existing players with a game they want to come back to again and again.”

In addition to Malta and the Netherlands, Stakelogic is also licensed in Ukraine, Greece, the United Kingdom, the US state of Michigan, and Romania.

William Hill Regulatory Failures in the UK Could Set a New Record for 888

Making a deal to purchase William Hill’s non-US gambling assets from Caesars Entertainment might prove to be a nightmare for new owner 888. The bookmaker, one of the largest companies of its kind in the world, is preparing to accept one of the largest fines in history.

The Daily Mail reports that sources indicate the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) could impose a fine of £15 million (US$17.81 million) on William Hill. After receiving new information, The Mail then said the amount could actually be much higher, possibly more than £20 million (US$23.75 million).

That would be substantially greater than the £17 million (US$20.19 million) fine Entain received last year, setting a new record. 888 is reportedly preparing for the worst, already setting aside money to cover the fine.

888’s Downswing

The fine results from violations that fall within the scope of “social responsibility and anti-money laundering obligations.” One source told the media outlet the fine against William Hill could be “north of £20 million.”

For the bookmaker, this would be a huge blow. 888 Holdings is likely to drop off the FTS250 index this month, a stock market index that contains 250 UK-based mid-market cap companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Since September 2021, its share price has fallen by 85%.

888 bought William Hill last summer from Caesars for £2 billion (US$2.37 billion). In addition, its portfolio includes online casinos and more than 1,000 retail sports betting points.

This isn’t the first time the British operator has run into trouble, and several recent issues are causing the company grief. In January, an investigation began into accounts of VIP customers from the Middle East in relation to suspected money laundering.

888 determined that many of its betting whales were able to deposit and withdraw massive sums of money with virtually no oversight. As a result of the scandal, CEO Itai Pazner immediately stepped down after more than 20 years with the company. Lord Mendelsohn, 888’s chairman, took his place until the board finds a permanent replacement.

Now, everyone is waiting for the company’s fresh financial statement, which 888 will release at the end of March. At around the same time, the company’s CFO, Yariv Dafna, is going to step down.

More Trouble on the Horizon

888 is operating illegally in Austria. At least, that’s what the country’s supreme court has determined. It believes 888 and Flutter have been offering their services in Austria, while Casinos Austria is the only company with a license to do so.

As a result, the court determined that users could file claims with 888 and Flutter to receive reimbursement for their losses. The Financial Times reported a few days ago that more than 2,500 users have already received more than €75 million (US$79.31 million) in compensation from several operators since January.

888 and Flutter also reportedly owe around an additional €34 million (US$35.95 million), which they are allegedly withholding as they fight Austria.

On two occasions since 2017, 888 has had to pay regulatory fines in the UK. Those amounted to £17.2 million (US$20.5 million) in just two penalties, and it doesn’t look like the company will close its checkbook anytime soon.

Betsoft Deepens Spanish Ties with Casino777, Codere NGR up 48%

betsoft_deepens_spanish_ties_with_casino777_codere_ngr_up_48pctBetsoft, known the world over for its 3D slots hosted by endearing characters, has strengthened in presence in Spain with top-tier operator Casino777.es while Madrid (Alcobendas) based Codere Online is reporting Q4 and full-year results for 2022 were “better than expected” as negative cash flow continues to throttle its bottom line.

Betsoft, launched in 2008 presents an ever-expanding global footprint as it continues service in some unregulated markets such as the U.S. The company successfully completed two ISMS audits in 2020 – opening the door to operate in Spain as well as in the Latin American country of Colombia.

Solidifying Existing Spanish Footprint

In the last couple of years, it has inked deals with well-known and lesser-known Spanish operators including Paf, Tonybet, Retabet, and Versus. Its most recent distribution deal is with the tier-one operator, Casino777.es.

Casino777.es is owned and operated by Digital Distribution Management Ibérica, and licensed by the DGOJ (Dirección General de Ordenación de Juego) since its launch in 2015. Some of the operator’s claims to fame include top-notch customer service, an efficient payment system, a progressive games portfolio, and ongoing promotions.

In addition to a casino component including live dealer games, the site also offers full-service sports betting.

While Betsoft has successfully integrated its games around the world, it’s gone a step further to better serve the Spanish market by translating some of its most popular games into Spanish. Take the Kingdom, Return to Paris, and Thai Blossoms are among the translated titles.

The Spanish iGaming market is significant for us and one we take very seriously,” said Betsoft Gaming head of account management Anastasia Bauer. “We are delighted to be partnering with Casino777.es as they are a key operator in the country. We are looking forward to a successful relationship.”

Casino777.es manager for Spain, César Paredes García added: “We are very much an experiential operator. Delivering first-class entertainment is our core skill and so working with providers of Betsoft’s caliber is essential for us going forward. We anticipate a very positive future relationship.”

Codere Online Revenue Up, Still Bleeding Cash

Luxembourg-owned and Madrid-headquartered Codere Online has reported “better than expected” fourth-quarter results with the entire year of 2022 bringing in net gaming revenue of €122.9m – 48% more than the prior year. Unfortunately, the Grupo Codere subsidiary experienced a negative cash flow of €46.m.

Outgoing CEO of the online Spanish-language operator, Moshe Edree commented: “We are reporting better than expected Q4 and full year 2022 performance. This success is a testament to our team’s dedication and focus on delivering an unparalleled online gaming experience for our customers.”

Edree handed the reigns of the online division to COO, Aviv Sher on March 1 but will stay on as executive vice-chairman of the board.

Edree focused on net gaming revenue when he said the “effectiveness of our growth strategy and our ability to successfully deploy marketing spend” across all of the company’s Spanish-speaking markets were responsible for the successful NGR numbers.

We are pleased to have exceeded our 2022 net gaming revenue outlook of €115m to €120m and follow through on our commitment to investors,” added CFO Oscar Iglesias.

The company is in a constant state of improvement as it repositions itself for the present and the future. One such change just before the new year saw the company offload its Italian division.

Spain and Mexico Growth Markets

The company saw a 70% increase in NGR in the final quarter of the year with customers in Spain and Mexico contributing solidly. The increased revenue may be tied directly to marketing expenditures which more than doubled over 2021 numbers at €31.2m for 2022 – directly affecting both ends of the books.

While the subsidiary did see a net loss of €45.9m for the year, it was a major improvement over the prior year when it booked a loss of €68.0m in 2021.

The company projects a continued narrowing of losses estimated to be no more than -€30m for 2023 with net revenue of no less than €140m.

Codere Online will establish an important presence in Argentina in the coming year with a planned launch in Córdoba as it continues its pursuit of licenses in Mendoza and Buenos Aires.

We continue to be very excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead, particularly in Argentina, where we are making significant progress towards starting operations in several new regions this year,” Iglesias said. “We are confident in our ability to execute on our plans and continue delivering sustainable growth for our shareholders.”

Siegfried & Roy’s Las Vegas Mansion Lists for $3M

The most famous private residence in Las Vegas hit the real-estate market this week. The 8-acre estate at 1639 Valley Drive, listed with Redfin for $3M, is called Jungle Palace. It’s where Roy Horn of Siegfried & Roy lived with the former magic act’s tigers and lions until he died of complications from COVID-19 in May 2020.

Siegfried Fischbacher — who lived a few miles away, on an 80-acre compound called Little Bavaria — died less than a year after his partner of pancreatic cancer at age 81.

The Jungle Palace was built in 1954 and purchased by Siegfried & Roy in 1982. According to Redfin, a private party purchased the estate one year ago for $1.87M and is looking to flip it for a tidy profit.

The Moroccan-themed compound features a 8,750 square-foot main house, three guest houses, multiple water features including three pools and a jacuzzi, six electric gates, two detached studios, a bird sanctuary, and multiple animal enclosures. (Animals not included.)

Oddly, though the listing’s main photo shows an entry gate emblazoned with two faux-gold “SR” monograms, it makes no mention of the estate’s biggest selling point: Siegfried & Roy themselves.

While Fischbacher was in charge of the illusions, Horn raised the animals at the Jungle Palace. According to a Vanity Fair profile, all of Siegfried & Roy’s cats slept in bed with him here until reaching the age of 1. He also swam with his cats every day in the estate’s largest pool.

“My animals are the love affair of my life,” Horn told People magazine. “They are the first ones I talk to in the morning and the last ones I speak to at night.”

Fischbacher and Horn met while working on a cruise ship in 1957. They first performed in Las Vegas 10 years later as a featured act in the “Folies Bergere” show at the Tropicana. They then appeared in a show at Bally’s before headlining for the first time at the Frontier.

By 1990, their burgeoning popularity had earned them their own $30 million show in their own theater at the Mirage. Their 13-year run was one of the most lavish and successful in Las Vegas history.

The pair made a few public appearances following Horn’s mauling by his 7-year-old white tiger, Mantecore, but never resumed their full show and retired from show business in 2010.

Horn continued caring for Mantecore until the tiger’s death in 2014. The tiger lived alternately at the Jungle Palace, at Little Bavaria, and at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.

“When you see Roy’s face when he is with Mantecore, it brightens,” Fischbacher told the Las Vegas Weekly in 2012. “It’s as if nothing happened, you know?”

Last October, the Neon Museum told tickets for the public to tour the Jungle Palace, though most of the duo’s personal items had already been auctioned off last June in LA.

Last December, Hard Rock International purchased The Mirage, permanently closing the habitat. It relocated three of its six remaining dolphins to Sea World San Diego, and is reportedly working on relocating all of Siegfried & Roy’s surviving former cats.

Last August, the Las Vegas City Council voted 5-1 to demolish 12 of Little Bavaria’s 80 acres to allow a local developer to build a four-story apartment complex on that site.

NBA Awards: Immanuel Quickley Making a Run at Sixth Man of the Year

Immanuel Quickley, the backup point guard from the New York Knicks, is now +500 odds to win the 2023 NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Quickley has been on fire recently, and his stellar play on both ends of the court is one of the reasons why the Knicks won seven games in a row and moved into fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Quickley is currently third on DraftKings’ NBA awards board. Malcolm Brogdon, a combo guard and sixth man for the Boston Celtics, is the betting favorite at -200 odds. Swingman Norman Powell from the Los Angeles Clippers is second on the board and slightly ahead of Quickley at +450 odds.

A guard won the Sixth Man of the Year in 10 out of the last 11 seasons. Montrezl Harrell, a backup center with the Clippers, won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in the 2019-20 season. He’s the only non-guard to win the award since the 2010-11 season.

Shooting guard Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat won the Sixth Man of the Year last season by averaging 20.7 points per game. Herro isn’t eligible to defend his title this season because he’s now a starter with the Heat.

MSG Loves IQ: Immanuel Quickley (+500)

The red-hot Knicks (37-27) are 9-1 in their last 10 games, and have won seven games in a row. The Knicks are currently the #5 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff standings and are only 1.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers in fourth place.

In his third season with the Knicks, Quickley averages a career-high 12.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. His numbers are impressive considering he’s coming off the bench and averaging only 27.7 minutes per game. He’s shooting 35.9% from 3-point range and 44.3% from the floor.

In January, Quickley averaged 15.4 points per game and tallied double digits in scoring in 13 out of 14 games. He scored double-digit points in each of the last nine games. He’s averaging 15.7 points per game during the Knicks’ recent winning streak.

Oddsmakers took notice of Quickley over the last two months, which is why he moved up the board and is now +500 odds to win the NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

Quickley anchors the second unit for the Knicks, which also includes forward Obi Toppin, big men Jericho Sims and Isaiah Hartenstein, and newly-acquired guard Josh Hart. Fans at Madison Square Garden get whipped up into a frenzy as soon as Quickley stands up from his seat on the bench and makes his way to the scorer’s table before checking into the game.

Consensus Favorite: Malcolm Brogdon (-200)

The Celtics won the Eastern Conference last season but lost to the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals. The Warriors exposed the Celtics’ thin bench in that series and the Celtics made several bold moves in the offseason to bolster their bench with veteran scorers. They added Malcolm Brogdon in a trade with the Indiana Pacers, which was a huge upgrade.

Brogdon would be a starter on almost any other team in the NBA, but the Celtics wanted him to provide an offensive spark off the bench while still maintaining a high level of defense. Brogdon averages 14.6 points per game this season, and he’s the team’s third-best scorer as the sixth man. He also contributes 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting a blistering 46% from 3-point range.

Brogdon has been one of the betting favorites to win Sixth Man of the Year since the Celtics acquired him. He’s currently the consensus favorite at -200 odds, but Brogdon has to worry about maintaining his health and the emergence of Quickley.

Overall, Brogdon appeared in only 70% of all games during his first six seasons as a pro. He missed 59 games in his first three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, and missed 80 games in three seasons with the Pacers. He missed 46 games last season, and the Pacers were happy to deal the injury-prone Brogdon to the Celtics.

So far this season, Brogdon only missed nine games with the Celtics, but a late-season injury in the final 20 games could derail his chances of winning the Sixth Man of the Year.

Top 5: Norman Powell (+500), Tyrese Maxey (+1500), and Russell Westbrook (+5000)

Powell is the third-best scorer for the Los Angeles Clippers as their sixth man. He averages 16.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game off the bench while shooting 41% from 3-point range. Powell is second on the awards board at +500 odds to win Sixth Man of the Year.

Tyrese Maxey, a guard with the Philadelphia 76ers, is currently fourth overall at +1500 odds. He began the season as the starting point guard until he sustained a foot injury. When he returned from his injury, Maxey came off the bench as the Sixth Man. Head coach Doc Rivers liked how the offense flowed with Maxey as the sixth man, so he remained in that role.

Point guard Russell Westbrook began the season as the sixth man with the Los Angeles Lakers. He reluctantly embraced his demotion, but quickly found his groove. Westbrook competed with Brogdon as the early betting favorite to win the NBA Sixth Man of the Year, but he’s cooled down since then.

The Lakers traded Westbrook to the Utah Jazz shortly before the NBA trade deadline. He didn’t play any games with the Jazz, as the two parties arranged a contract buyout. Westbrook became a free agent and returned to Los Angeles to play with the Clippers.

It’s uncommon to see two players from the same team compete for Sixth Man of the Year honors, but this is the case with the Clippers due to a trade. Westbrook just joined the team while Powell established himself as the first player off the bench all season.

The Clippers lost four consecutive games with Westbrook on the team, which won’t help his campaign to win the Sixth Man of the Year. Westbrook’s odds slipped in recent weeks, and he’s fifth on the NBA awards board at +5000 odds.
